Jamie Cohen-Kiraly is a contemporary artist in Cleveland Ohio. She has exhibited artwork around Cleveland at various academic institutions as well as galleries around the Cleveland area. She also curated and took part in a show titled Mimosas After Midnight at the Cleveland Institute of Art with fellow students. In summer 2018, Cohen-Kiraly collaborated on a few public art mural projects such as Case Western Reserve University, and Twiisted Resteraunt in Medina Ohio. She has also participated in public art projects including Parade the Circle and the annual Chalk Festival at The Cleveland Museum of Art, Tri-C Jazz Festival, and Rodger Titly’s Creatures procession for the 150th Anniversary of the Cleveland Public Library. Jamie’s business Color Your Palette LLC, run with her family, is a teacher-student experience of wine and painting events where the public is able to follow along and paint a masterpiece themselves. Those events have been taught all over cleveland including a number of nursing homes, the Cuyahoga Scenic Railroad, grief support groups, and children and adult parties. Jamie is committed to involving the public in the art she creates whether it is put up as public art to view, collaboration, performance, or audience participation or a portrait of a loved one or a pet to share. She believes art has an impact on us that creates a stimulation like no other. Art is used as a connection and language between people and the joy of creating, sharing, experimenting, innovating, and making, makes the world a better place. |
